Jamison is a graduate of California University of PA, and is the current Director of Sports Clubs. Jamison has been overseeing all off-ice operations for the team since the 2002-03 season and has been recognized as the CHE GM of the Year twice (2004 & 2010). Jamison, a native of Erie, PA, played four years for McDowell High School. Jamison is not only a former player (2002-07) for the CHE team, but he also handles most off ice operations for the team including all scheduling and financial activities. Under Jamison’s tenure as President (2002-06) of the Cal Hockey Club, the club has been revamped and is looking like a strong contender in the CHE for years to come. Brenda DePaoli is the Executive Staff Assistant in the Office of Student Development and Services at California University of PA, and is in her eighth year as advisor to the Hockey Club. Brenda has been following Cal Hockey since her brother played goaltender back in the late 1980’s. Brenda began her recent involvement with Cal Hockey beginning in 2004 when she served as one of the coordinators of the ACHA National Tournament, which Cal U hosted. In addition to being an avid hockey fan, Brenda’s hockey experience comes from years of watching her daughter Brandie play for the Mon Valley Thunder girl’s team and her son William ‘BJ’ who played for Serra Catholic High School, Detroit Honeybaked and the AAA Pittsburgh Hornets. BJ played on the CHE (Cal I) team for five seasons.

My career in admissions began in 1994 when I joined the admissions staff at Waynesburg College. I spent 12 years at Waynesburg before coming to Cal U in March 2007 as an assistant director of admissions. I look forward to working with you and hope to see you on campus soon!
My territory includes Adams, Bucks, Chester, Cumberland, Delaware, Juniata, Lancaster, Montgomery, Perry and York counties in Pennsylvania, as well as southern New Jersey.

Coach Berger, a native of Jefferson Hills, PA returns to California University of PA for his eleventh full season with the team and his tenth as head coach. Coach Berger has an extensive hockey background as both a player and coach. He has competed both at the Junior Level as well as in the ACHA Division I. Coach Berger also served as the Head Coach for clubs such as; Chartiers Valley Junior Varsity, Eastern Amateurs Midgets, and Mt. Lebanon Hornets Midget hockey programs before joining Cal U of PA’s staff in 2004. Justin is a three time CHE Coach of the Year (2007, 2010 & 2011), six time ACHA Atlantic Region Coach of the Year (2008, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 & 2014), seven time CHE Champion and led the Vulcans to their first National Championship in 2008. After the 2010/11 season Coach Berger was selected as the ACHA DIII National Coach of the year for the first time in his career. He looks forward to leading the California hockey program back to the ACHA DIII National Tournament and CHE Playoffs. Feel free to contact him with any comments or questions.

Philip, a native of Brentwood, PA, is a graduate from California University of PA with a Master of Science in Intercollegiate Athletic Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management with a Minor in Business. This season marks Philip’s fifth with the hockey club and fourth as the Sports Information Director. Before coming to the hockey club, he served as a Facility and Event Management Intern in the spring of 2010 for the California University of PA Athletic Department. Beginning in the 2010-11 season, Philip served as the Sports Club Graduate Assistant where he was able to work directly with the hockey club. In October of 2011 he was honored with the Bill Swan Award For Dedication by the Pennsylvania Intramural and Recreational Sports Association for his contributions during the 2010-11 season. Larry, a native of Elizabeth, PA, begins his fourth season as the Scouting/Recruitment Coordinator. Over the past 11 years Larry has spent time coaching in both the PIHL and local amateur organizations. Most recently, Mr. Briggs spent the past five seasons as the head coach of Elizabeth Forward High School. Larry also served as an assistant coach with the Pittsburgh 18U AA Predators the past two seasons. Larry began his coaching career with Serra Catholic of the PIHL and Mon Valley of the PAHL. He spent a total of 9 years with Mon Valley as both an Assistant and Head Coach eventually progressing to the 18U AA level. Derrick Fluhme, M.D.
Eric, native of New Castle, PA, is entering graduate school majoring in Criminology after graduating from Cal U with a Bachelors degree in Justice Studies. This is Eric’s second year serving as the Sports Clubs Graduate Assistant. In his free time he enjoys playing flag football, softball and golfing. Upon graduating Eric plans to pursue a career as a researcher in the criminal justice field.
Brian, a native of Pittsburgh, PA, is entering his senior year as a Sport Management major. This is Brian’s third year as a board member and second as the Club’s President. The 2014-15 season will mark Brian’s fourth season as a member of the Cal-II team. Along with being a member of Cal Hockey Brian has held numerous campus positions. Last year Brian served as the Speaker of the House of Representatives and this school year marks the third year he has been a member of Student Government. Since last school year Brian has served on the SAI Board of Directors and last year held a seat on Student Cabinet. In his free time Brian enjoys hanging out with club members, playing hockey and drinking his morning coffee. Upon graduating he plans on finding a job in the Sport Management field.

Tallen, a native of York, PA, is entering his junior year as a Criminology major. This is Tallen’s first year as a board member and his third season as a member of the Cal-II team. In his free time Tallen enjoys hunting and fishing.
Boyd, a native of Stafford, VA, is entering is senior year as a Geology major. This is Boyd’s first year as a board member and will be his third season as a member of Cal hockey. Boyd spent his first season with the Cal-II team and has since been a member of the Cal-I team.
Michelle, a native of Pittsburgh, PA, is entering graduate school as a Secondary Education major with a concentration in Social Studies. This is Michelle’s fifth year as a board member having spent four years as Secretary and a onetime Risk Management Coordinator. The 2014-15 season will mark Michelle’s sixth season with the women’s team and she currently holds the record for most games played.

Danny, a native of Woodbridge, VA, is entering his senior year as a Justice Studies major with a concentration in International and Homeland Security. This is Danny’s first year as a board member and his second year as a member of the Cal-I team. After being named the ACHA Atlantic Region Player of the Year and Cal U Team MVP last season Danny hopes he can help lead the Vulcans back to the ACHA Division III National Tournament this season.
Kelsey, a native of Moon Township, PA, is entering her junior year as a Pre K-4 & Special Education major. This is Kelsey’s second year as a board member after serving as the Clubs Vice President last year and the 2014-15 season marks her third year as a member of the women’s team. Along with being a member of Cal Hockey, Kelsey is also involved in Student Government, the mentoring program and serves as a Student Ambassador. This season Kelsey’s goal for the women’s team is to have another successful winning season and making it back to the ACHA Division II National Tournament.
Head Equipment Manager
Nathan Kaylo, from Glenshaw, Pa, is entering his sophomore year majoring in Business Administration. This will be Nathan’s first full season as Head Equipment Manager for the Cal U hockey club. Nathan oversees all three teams, but travels primarily with the Cal-I team. Currently Nathan works for the Pittsburgh Pirates in the Guest Relations/Security Departments. In his free time Nathan enjoys ice time, traveling, watching sports and hanging out with friends.

Tyler, a native of Dallas, PA, is entering his junior year as a Computer Science major. Tyler has played hockey for just over two years and spent time working with the Wilkes-Barre Penguins Hockey School. In his free time Tyler enjoys playing video games, golfing, listening to music and relaxing.
Cal-II Assistant Equipment Manager
Johnny, a native of South Fayette, PA, is entering his senior year majoring in Commercial Music Technology with a concentration in percussion and a minor in piano. This is his second year involved with cal hockey. In his free time, he enjoy playing in various bands from the Cal U marching band down to small rock groups. Johnny also enjoy listening and recording all types of music.
Brandon, a native of Vineland, NJ, is entering graduate school as an Athletic Training major. Before coming to Cal U, Brandon earned his Bachelors of Science in Athletic Training from Rowan University. Brandon brings with him a wealth of experience having spent time working with the Philadelphia Soul of the Arena Football League, Cumberland County College, Timbercreek Regional High School and Vineland High School. Along with those experiences Brandon worked with the Women’s Lacrosse and Baseball teams while at Rowan University. In his free time Brandon enjoys exercising and training for Tough Mudder Events, skydiving, playing video games, watching sports and going for runs with his dog. While at Cal Brandon is working towards earning his National Academy of Sports Medicine Performance Enhancement Specialist Certification (NASMPES).
